Sowore expresses concern over Tinubu’s disappearance from public glare

The publisher of Sahara Reporters and presidential candidate of the African Action Congress, Omoyele Sowore, has expressed concern over the whereabout of the president-elect, Alhaji Bola Ahmed Tinubu after he left the country to Europe.
Sowore took to his official Facebook page to query the sudden disappearance of Tinubu who was controversially declared the winner of February 25 presidential election by the Independent National Electoral Commission despite obvious irregularities that marred the entire process.
News Band Newspaper recall that the All Progressives Congress in a statement said the former Lagos State governor travelled abroad to rest and plan his transition programme ahead of the May 29, 2023 inauguration, after a very exhaustive campaign and election season.
In a statement issued by the Office of the President-elect and signed by Mr. Tunde Rahman said, “The president-elect decided to take a break after the hectic campaign and election season to rest in Paris and London, preparatory to going to Saudi Arabia for Umrah (Lesser Hajj) and the Ramadan Fasting that begins Thursday.”
Though, this is over 8 days he left the country without any sign of him.
Meanwhile, Tinubu who marked his 71 birthday was celebrated in absentia by the governors of the All Progressives Congress yesterday.
However, Nigerians fear that the disturbing scenario which played out in president Muhammadu Buhari’s administration (Where Buhari spent several months in the hospital over health issues) could possibly repeat itself again under Tinubu who is reportedly battling with health issues.
