Peace pact: You can’t be running for Nigerian presidency in absentia, Sowore attacks Tinubu

The publisher of Sahara Reporters and presidential candidate of the African Action Congress (AAC), Omoyele Sowore, has attacked Bola Tinubu, the presidential flagbearer of the All Progressives Congress (APC) over his absence during the signing of peace accord by all the presidential candidates and chairmen of 18 registered political parties at the International Conference Center (ICC), Abuja.

News Band reports that at the signing of the peace accord, senator Kashim Shettima stood in for his boss while Peter Obi, Omoyele Sowore, Atiku Abubakar, Rabiu Kwankwaso and others were present.

Till this very moment, the ruling party has not accounted for the unfortunate absence of their standard flag bearer who is rumoured to be in London for medical treatment.

Sowore in a video which he posted on his official Facebook page while confronting the former hitman of late Sani Abacha, Al-Mustpha who is also a presidential candidate, said he will continue to maintain his position over the role he played during the military junta

The rights activist further told Al-Mustpha that his position over national issues will never change as he also confronted Senator Kashim Shettima, the vice presidential candidate of APC over the absence of his boss in the signing of the peace pact.

The convener of #RevolutionNow however, noted that the former Lagos governor ought to be present as he cannot be running for the Nigerian presidency in absentia.

He said, “I will continue to maintain by position. It is the same position I have with the people sitting in the front. I confronted him why is he sitting there when Bola Tinubu is not here. If I was sitting there I will not stand up for him because Bola Tinubu is supposed to be here. He can’t be running Nigerian presidency in absentia
