Organized labour suspends strike over subsidy removal

The leadership of the Nigerian Labour Congress (NCL) led by its President, Comrade Joe Ajaero, and that of the Trade Union Congress (TUC), Comrade Festus Usifo have officially suspended the nationwide protests against the removal of fuel subsidy.

Comrade Festus Osifo, president of Trade Union Congress confirmed this when he appeared on Arise Television Morning Show.

He said the organized labour leaders who had earlier met with President Tinubu chose to suspend the protest action after what they described as their fruitful meeting with the president Wednesday evening
