‘My job is done’, Obasanjo offers his seat to Peter Obi at an event & walked away

Former President Olusegun Obasanjo got Nigerians talking after he was spotted offering his seat to Peter Obi during an event to celebrate a national award given to the President of the African Export-Import Bank Prof. Benedict Oramah.
In a viral video which was obtained by News Band, the former president was seen calling up Obi – who was sitting at table nine – and leading him to table one. The move was applauded by the audience.
As he stepped forward to pick the former Anambra State governor from his seat and leading him to table one declared, “My job is done”.
Though Obasanjo has not formally endorsed any presidential candidate for the February 2023 election, observers suggest that Obasanjo has favoured Obi to succeed President Muhammadu Buhari.
Obi has been favoured by some polls ahead of other major contenders like Bola Tinubu of the All Progressives Congress (APC) and Atiku Abubakar of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP).
Before the event, the Labour Party candidate has had a series of closed-door meetings with the former president.
Obasanjo was also part of Obi’s meeting with Governor Nyesom Wike and his group in London recently.
