DSS frees Femi Kayode after 6 hours of questioning

The Department of State Services (DSS), has released one of the spokesman for the All Progressives Congress (APC) presidential campaign council, Chief Femi Fani-Kayode, after six hours of interrogation on his allegations of a possible coup being plotted by Alhaji Atiku and top army generals.

In a series of tweets on Saturday, Fani-Kayode had said he learnt that Atiku Abubakar, Presidential Candidate of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), had a secret meeting with some army generals.

Though, the Defence Headquarters had denied the meeting, pledging its commitment to democracy.

Fani-Kayode was subsequently invited by the secret police for questioning.

However, the release of the former minister of aviation by the secret police was disclosed on Monday by the Director, Media and Publicity, Tinubu/Shettima Campaign council, Bayo Onanuga via his official Twitter handle.

He wrote, “Femi Fani-Kayode released by DSS after about six hours of interrogation.”
