APGA wins Assembly seat in Taraba

The Independent National Electoral Commission has declared the All Progressives Grand Alliance (APGA) candidate, Anas Shuaibu, as winner of the House of Assembly re-run election for Karim 2 State Constituency in Taraba State.

Declaring the result in Zailani, headquarters of the Constituency, INEC Returning Officer, Dr. Bawuro Manga of the Federal University Wukari said Shuaibu polled 7,104 votes to defeat his closest opponent Bobbo Bello Bendu of the PDP who came second with 6,589 votes.

He therefore declared him the winner and returned elected.

Commenting on his victory, Shuaibu thanked God and the people of Karim 2 for their doggedness and resilience which led to his victory at the poll.

He promised to justify the confidence reposed in him by fulfilling all his campaign promises.

He called on the people of Karim 2 to give him the needed support and prayers to succeed.
