1 min readThere are indications that the ruling All Progressive Congress might compensate the South-East region with the position of senate president.
It would be recalled that none of the aspirants from the southeast that contested the APC presidential primaries came close to winning.
The Southeast region has also not produced the president.
Alhassan Ado-Doguwa who is the Majority Leader of the House, disclosed to Punch Newspaper that the party is making plans for the senate president position goes to the south east while the North-East would produce the next vice-president.
According to Punch Newspaper, the running mate for Asiwaju Tinubu will likely emerge on or before Wednesday.
He also told Punch Newspaper that as the prominent member of the national executive committee, National Caucus and the presidential tripartite committee of the party, they are offering advice that will advance the course of the party in the forthcoming general election.
