Man rapes woman in presence of her 2-yr-old child in Kwara

The Nigeria Security and Civil Defense Corps (NSCDC) in Kwara State has arrested a suspected rapist, Ganiyu Yusuf, 47.
The command had been on trail of the suspect since last year when a rape incident was reported.
The spokesman of the NSCDC, Ayeni Olasunkanmi, said he was eventually tracked down at Mokwa, Niger state, on January 5, 2023.
He said the suspect is a native of Abeokuta, Ogun state.
According to Olasunkanmi, “after we arrested him, he confessed that he broke into the house at Oloje area in Ilorin through the roof and overpowered the woman who was alone with her 2 years old daughter in the house.
“He raped the woman in the presence of her daughter and went away with her two laptops and two android phones belonging to the victim”, he added.
He said the command is still searching for the buyers of the exhibits and appealed to the public to be conscious of what they buy.
He submitted that the suspect will later be charged to court for prosecution.
