Prof Lateef Akanni Hussein, a former Vice-Chancellor of Lagos State University (LASU) is dead.
Hussein, a Professor of Physics, was the 6th Substantive VC of the institution between 2005 and 2011.
He reportedly died after a brief illness on Sunday evening.
His death was confirmed through the official Twitter handle of the University @LASUOfficial on Monday.
Prof. Hussain during his active years worked as a lecturer in the Department of Physics, University of Ibadan.
