DSS arrests deputy governor of CBN, Aisha Ahmad

The Department of State Services—DSS, has reportedly arrested Aisha Ahmad, deputy governor of the Central Bank of Nigeria—CBN in charge of Financial System Stability—FSS.
According to reports, the bank chief was taken into custody by the secret police over her “alleged fraudulent acquisition of shares in Polaris Bank, Titan Bank/Union Bank.”
She is currently being interrogated on how $300 million to complete the acquisition of Union Bank was raised by Titan Bank, according to Businessday.
