Emefiele’s arraignment stalled again
1 min readThe arraignment of the embattled former bank chief, Godwin Emefiele over N6.9 billion procurement fraud, has been stalled again.
Recall that the case was first stalled on August 17 following the absence of the second defendant in the case, Mrs Sa’adatu Yaro.
According to the legal representative of Yari, she took ill and could not make it to court.
The president judge, Justice Hamza Muazu, adjourned the case till August 23 for the arraignment of the defendants.
But the matter was not listed on the case list of the Court.
No explanation was, however, given to newsmen on why it was not listed.
Also, lawyers for both parties were absent in court.
