Governor Nysom Wike

Mr David Bwala, one of the spokesman of Alhaji Atiku Abubakar, the presidential candidate of the Peoples Democratic Party—PDP has warned the Minister of FCT, Barrister Nyesom Wike that Abuja is not Port-Harcourt where he held sway as the governor and had immunity to act and do as he pleased.

The warning is coming after Wike while addressing a press conference, pledged to restore the city’s master plan.

He also threatened land owners who have been given Certificates of Occupancy but failed to develop it they they will lose the property.

The former governor of Rivers State, said the land will be revoked and given to those who are readily available to develop it

But reacting to Wike’s threat in a statement, Bwala listed his functions as Minister of the FCT and added that he should be reminded that Abuja is not Port Harcourt.

He said, “Hello sir, in case you need refresher course; the basic needs of the residents of the FCT are; affordable healthcare facilities; access to good education facilities, clean sports and recreational centres, affordable transport services system, efficient and workable street light in the city Centre and the suburbs; and finally, security.

“You came with a bullish and vendetta spirit venting fire and brimstone about demolition and revocation of titles. Abuja is not Port Harcourt. If you create chaos in the city, you will jeopardize your principal’s interests and he will be forced to sacrifice your job. You will learn humility on the job.”
