The All Progressives Congress (APC) gubernatorial primary in Bayelsa State has produced former Minister of State for Petroleum, Timipre Sylva as winner.
The fiercely contested primary which took place on Friday also had David Lyon, the 2019 governor – elect, Festus Sunday, Prof Ongoebi Maureen, Ogomade Isikima Johnson and Joshua Maciver as contestants.
The result of the primary election was announced in Yenegoa on Saturday.
