Obidients haven’t done half of what Buhari supporters did in 2011 — Shehu Sani
1 min readSenator Shehu Sani, former federal lawmaker, has said that the supporters of the Labour Party presidential candidate, Mr Peter Obi are more peaceful than those who supported the ambition of President Muhammadu Buhari in 2011.
Recall that during electioneering campaigns, many Nigerians had accused Obi’s supporters, known as Obidients of inciting violence.
Supporters of the All Progressives Congress, APC had tagged Obidients as violent people following alleged verbal attacks on other presidential hopeful.
But Sani in a tweet on Wednesday, claimed Buhari’s supporters in the 2011 presidential election were more violent than Obi’s supporters.
He said, “NO patriot should trigger or encourage anarchy; but we shouldn’t also ‘shorten our memories’, what Peter’s supporters are doing in 2023 is more peaceful than what Buhari’s supporters did in 2011.
